Why Kaş?
Tucked into the Teke Peninsula on Turkey's Mediterranean coast, this small town has been the country's answer to "where should I dive?" for years. Your first descent explains why: walls dropping into the blue, caves full of shifting light, an aeroplane wreck waiting on the seabed, and water so clear you often see for tens of metres.
Distances are another quiet advantage. Most dive sites are a short boat ride from the harbour, so you can head out in the morning, make two dives and be back in town by late afternoon without sacrificing the rest of your holiday.

1. Never dived before: the discovery dive

The dive sites: wrecks, the canyon, the Blue Cave
We dive 28 mapped sites around Kaş, and the variety is genuinely wide:
- Dakota C-47 plane wreck: a transport plane sunk as an artificial reef; the underwater icon of Kaş and a photographer's favourite.
- Tank wreck: a real armoured vehicle now wrapped in sponges and schooling fish.
- The Canyon: glide between walls and passages, with big pelagics possible in the deep.
- The Blue Cave: light filtering in paints everything blue; one of Kaş's most photogenic dives.
- Reefs and sheltered bays: ideal for discovery dives and training, home to grouper, moray, octopus and, on lucky days, a loggerhead turtle.

What a typical dive day looks like
We meet on our boat in Kaş Harbour in the morning. After a short briefing we head to the first site, where the instructors explain the route, depth and what you're likely to see. After the first dive: sunshine and a swim break, then the day's second dive. By the time we're back in the harbour in the late afternoon, you're scrolling through photos and planning the next one.

When should you come?

How prices and booking work

Every quote is the VAT-included total: boat, equipment, insurance and instructor are all in it, so there are no surprises at the door. Practical tips
- Bring only a swimsuit, towel and sunscreen; all dive gear is provided.
- Leave at least 18-24 hours between your last dive and your return flight.
- Soft contact lenses are fine; glasses don't fit under a mask, so tell us in advance if your prescription is strong.
- Prone to seasickness? A light breakfast (and your doctor's usual remedy) makes the day easier.
- A non-diving partner or friend can join as a boat guest and spend the day at sea.
