Your discovery dive, step by step
We'll pick the date together. Here's what your day looks like.
Already certified? This page is for first-time divers. If you're certified, your program is the day trip with 2 dives a day; it runs on the same boat, on the same day. See the 2-dives-a-day program →
- Meet at the harbour
We meet on our boat in Kaş Harbour; after a quick hello and a short medical form, the boat leaves at 10:00.
- Briefing & gear-up
Your instructor explains the equipment and the hand signals you'll use underwater, and answers every question.
- Get comfortable in shallow water
You practise breathing at standing depth first. No rush; we never go on until you feel ready.
- The dive: one-to-one
About 25 minutes with your instructor within arm's reach at all times. Fish, reef, and that first 'I'm flying' feeling.
- Enjoy the boat
After the dive: swimming, sunshine and the sea. You spend the day on the boat.

If one dive isn't enough
SSI Basic Diver: two dives, same day
The question we get most often is about a second dive. If you're diving twice in one day anyway, Basic Diver makes more sense for most guests: the same two dives, but you go home with an internationally recognised SSI rating.
If you'd rather not do a certification, we can still add a second discovery dive on the same day. Ask on WhatsApp and we'll send the exact price for both options.

Discovery Dive FAQ
Good to know
How long does a discovery dive take?
You spend about 25 minutes underwater; with the briefing and preparation, set aside about half a day. You're welcome to stay on the boat for the rest of the day.
Can I do a second dive the same day?
Yes. If a second dive is on your mind, SSI Basic Diver makes more sense for most guests: two dives one-to-one with your instructor, 12 metres on the second one, and an SSI Basic Diver rating at the end. You can credit it toward the next level at any SSI centre within 6 months. If you'd rather skip the certification, we can simply add a second discovery dive instead.
I can't swim. Can I still dive?
Yes. Swimming skills aren't required for a discovery dive; your instructor stays with you one-to-one at all times. Being comfortable in the water is enough.
How deep do we go?
After practising in shallow water, you descend to a safe depth within discovery-dive standards, as judged by your instructor. Depth is not the goal; your comfort and safety come first.
I wear glasses or contact lenses. Is that a problem?
You can dive with soft contact lenses. Glasses don't fit under the mask; if your prescription is strong, tell us in advance and we'll suggest options.
What should I bring?
Just your swimsuit, a towel and sunscreen. All dive equipment, the boat and insurance are included in the price.
What if I panic underwater?
Your instructor is always within arm's reach and you communicate with simple hand signals. You can end the dive at any moment; we never push a guest who doesn't feel ready.
Are photos or videos taken?
If you like, we can capture your first dive on photo and video; ask us on WhatsApp for details and current terms.
Does a discovery dive count toward a course?
A discovery dive isn't a certification program; its purpose is a safe first taste. If you want to continue, we'll map out your SSI course path; many guests move on to a course after their first dive.
