The Canyon

If you want a feeling you won't forget, the Canyon is the favourite spot in Kaş.

The dive starts over a flat area at 5-10 m, and then the bottom suddenly drops away. From a natural platform at 5 m you let go and practically fly into a unique V-shaped passage between two walls reaching 22 m. Gliding between those walls is a feeling no other site in Kaş can give you.

A wreck waits in the deep: the Dimitri, a cargo ship carrying cotton that struck the islands in 1968, lies at 25 m with her propellers at 40 m. Big pelagic fish can appear at depth too.

Because of its depth and profile, the Canyon is an advanced dive. Oasis Reef right next door makes an ideal second dive without moving the boat; our captain and instructors set the day's route based on conditions.

Honestly: the sea decides which site we dive on which day; the final call is made in the morning by our captain and instructors based on wind and sea. If this site is on your wish list, do tell us and we'll factor it into the plan.
