The short answer: is the water warm?
The live box above already answers today; the bigger picture: the sea in Kaş stays above 23°C from June to November, and sits in the 27-30°C band from July to September. In summer, "will I be cold?" simply isn't a question here. Even in winter the surface rarely drops below 18°C; this corner of the Mediterranean cools late and warms early.

How the sea behaves through the year
The sea runs about a season behind the air. The air starts warming in April, but the sea hits its coldest in February-March and stays cool into May. The same lag works in reverse in autumn: while the air cools in October, the sea holds the heat it banked all summer and still cruises at 21-26°C in November. That's why October has a special reputation among locals: the crowds have gone, the sea hasn't.
The peak is August; in recent years the August average has pushed 30°C. The bravest month is February: an 18°C sea is still an option for cold-water swimmers, not for everyone.
Swimming is one thing, diving another: it cools with depth
The table shows surface values. The deeper you go, the cooler it gets; in summer you cross a distinct cold layer called the thermocline. The live temperature and the table are based on Open-Meteo, an open data source publishing satellite- and model-based sea data. The live value is fetched automatically several times a day; the table we computed from five years of hourly records (2021-2025). The goal isn't marketing, it's setting honest expectations: if you come in February the sea will be 18°C, and we'll say so.
