SSI Try Scuba
The SSI Try Scuba program is your introduction to the underwater world. This entry-level program gives you the opportunity to experience the underwater world, in a confined water setting. You will earn the SSI Try Scuba recognition rating.
SSI Scuba Skills Update
A Scuba Skills Update provides you with the opportunity to review and practice necessary scuba skills that you learned in your original Open Water Diver program under the guidance of an SSI Dive Professional. The Scuba Skills Update is often a required for continuing your diving training after a long period of time away from the sport. You will be issued an SSI Scuba Skills Update recognition card.
This program is for students who do not have the time to complete the Open Water Diver program, and provides you with the training and experience required to dive in open water environments under the supervision of a dive professional. You will earn the SSI Scuba Diver certification, which can be upgraded to the SSI Open Water Diver certification with additional training.
SSI Open Water Diver
This globally-recognized certification program is the best way to begin your life-long adventure as a certified scuba diver. Personalized training is combined with in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. You will earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification.
SSI Advanced Advanterer Diver
This program allows you to experience five different open water dives from five SSI Specialty programs without requiring you to complete the entire Specialty. If you are unsure of your next step, this is the perfect way to advance your dive skills and experience, and to identify which Specialty programs interest you. You will earn the SSI Advanced Adventurer certification after completing this program.
Attention: The Advanced Adventurer certification is not counted towards the AOWD Recognition. To achieve one or more specialty certification(s) for the AOWD, you may decide to complete one or more of these specialties. Your dives from the Advanced Adventurer course will of course be counted.
SSI Advanced Open Water Diver
SSI Advanced Open Water Diver is the next recognition rating on the path to becoming an SSI Master Diver, and includes four SSI Specialty program Digital Kits. After completing the four SSI Specialty programs that interest you, as well as 24 logged dives, you will automatically receive the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver recognition rating, along with your SSI Specialty program certifications.
SSI Diver Stress & Rescue
Stress is a major cause of diving accidents and negatively impacts rescue situations. This program teaches you the skills and knowledge required to recognize and deal with stress, prevent accidents and properly deal with emergency situations encountered by divers. You will earn the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty certification after completing this program.
SSI Dive Guide
This program gives you the skills and experience required to safely lead groups of certified divers, and is the first step towards an exciting career as an SSI Professional without requiring you to complete an instructor program. Professional Dive Guides can work for SSI Training Centers, guiding dives in a variety of environments and conditions. You will earn the SSI Dive Guide certification after completing this program.
SSI Dive Master
The much sought-after SSI Master Diver is the final step in your recreational diving career. The SSI Master Diver Digital Kit Bundle is composed of four SSI Specialty program Digital Kits and the SSI Diver Stress & Rescue Digital Kit. By completing the five specialty programs, and logging 50 open water dives, you will automatically earn the SSI Master Diver recognition rating, as well as the SSI Specialty program certifications.
One star diver is the one who is able to wear diving equipment properly, use them and dive thoroughly in shallow water and is ready to execute open water dives with the presence of a three star diver, and he or she can dive down to 18m. deep. In order to attain this course, you have to be completed your 14th age. For those candidates lower than age 18, a permission document is required. A health statement from a doctor is also required.
Two Stars Diver is the one who has open water diving experience. Under normal conditions, two Two Stars Divers can dive together. Two Stars Divers can not lead One Star Divers. Two Stars Divers younger than age 18 can only dive under supervision of at least one Three Stars Diver. They can dive down to 30m. maximum. As for educational dives, these can be done only with an accompanying dive trainer and down to max 42 m. deep. To attend this training, you have to be at least in completion of age 15 (those who are younger than 18, must present parental permission), possess health document or an equivalent, One Star Diver certificate approved by the federation or an equivalent certificate, have a minimum of 20 open sea dives recorded and having at least 2 months spent over the receipt of One Star certificate. Two Stars certificate will give you some new authorisations and responsibilities, with the right to organise and execute dives with two other Two Stars Divers as well.
Three Stars Diver Training is planned in order to give you necessary knowledge to let you lead a group in each level of a dive. A Three-Star, is the one who can lead different level divers; can dive down to a maximum deep of 30 m.; however, can go down to 42m. under supervision of a trainer for educational purposes. To attend this training, you have to be 18 (finished), possess health statement, at least have a primary school grade, possess federation approved Two-Stars certificate or an equivalent, have a minimum of 50 open sea dives recorded and having at least 6 months spent over the receipt of Two-Stars certificate
